Joe Pohl, an experienced business leader and attorney, is the CEO of Healthcare Ventures Group, and its affiliates, Physicians Rx Pharmacy and PharmalytIQ. Prior to joining HVG in 2024, Joe served as the CEO of PharmBlue Specialty Pharmacy, a national specialty pharmacy focused on the federal 340B drug program, retroviruses (HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis C), mental and behavioral health and pain management.

Joe initially joined PharmBlue as its first General Counsel, building the legal function and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, after nearly 20 years in private legal practice representing clients in the healthcare, financial services and manufacturing industries. Between his time at PharmBlue and HVG, Joe worked as an Executive in Residence with UPMC Enterprises, the investment/venture capital arm of UPMC, an integrated delivery and finance healthcare system based in Pittsburgh. As a member of Enterprises’ Translational Sciences team, Joe assisted with strategic planning and business leadership issues for Enterprises’ portfolio companies and internal initiatives.

Joe obtained his B.A. in Economics and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame, and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Gopal Pillai is a licensed pharmacist and a business leader with over 20 years of extensive experience across 340B, specialty, retail, outpatient, and health system pharmacy settings. With clinical expertise in HIV/AIDS, PrEP, immunizations, and compounding, he combines patient-centered care with strategic operational leadership to drive sustainable growth and measurable performance improvement. His expertise includes PBM contracting, strategic planning, inventory and financial management, and the design and implementation of pharmacy systems.

Max brings over 26 years of expertise in the tech industry, with a strong focus on the financial and pharmaceutical sectors. He has a proven history of driving innovation and delivering advanced solutions. In previous roles, Max successfully led large product and professional services groups in Fortune 500 companies.

Robert began his career in public accounting and earned his CPA in 2010. In 2012, he was recognized by the Pennsylvania Institute for Certified Public Accountants as one of 40 under 40 Members to Watch. Robert went on to become the Controller for a high-growth home delivery pharmacy in Western PA, where he implemented a robust finance and accounting department.

Lou previously served as Chief Operating Officer for PharmBlue Specialty Pharmacy, overseeing pharmacy operations and services provided through a centralized pharmacy and 12 remote pharmacies, inventory management, purchasing, marketing and sales, and budgeting.

Chris is a management professional with extensive experience in developing and leading diverse teams in the corporate arena. She is recognized as a results-oriented, high growth leader who has consistently grown revenue stream, reduced operating costs, and resolved significant problem situations.

With over 15 years of progressive financial leadership, Keri is known for driving efficiency, ensuring compliance, and elevating financial reporting standards. Keri began her career in public accounting where she developed a strong foundation in audit, compliance, and financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of clients and industries. Keri transitioned her career into corporate finance where she led cross-functional teams through system implementations, audits, mergers, and rapid growth phases, consistently delivering insights that inform strategic decision-making.

Drew is a contributory and highly competent Director and VP of Sales bringing along 30+ years of experience in Strategic Planning, General Management, Competitive Strategies, Revenue Growth Strategies, Territory Planning, Quota Achievement, Staff Planning & Management, Client Developement, Coaching & Counseling, Customer Relations, Client Relationship Managament, Team Building & Leadership and Communication Skills.
